I had a good time with it as well, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if I hadn't 1) waited until it was on a streaming service so I could watch it in my own home, and 2) put on the Japanese dub so I wouldn't have to deal with Seth Rogen as DK.

I might just be out of the loop, but it's nice to see a Touhou fan project that does anything with more recent characters.

Does that actually still work? I thought they had put a kibosh to that, or at least made it more inconvenient/costly. I wonder how long it will take for people to be able to actually jailbreak the Series models.

The same way you said you didn't say visuals are everything, I never said these games are made to be fun, even though that's still the intention by many of the people working on them, and I prefer to focus on the good parts of the experience rather than belittle people as being "naive".

It probably won't be AS bad since a good number of people may already have had their fill from early access (instead of years of radio silence), not to mention those who will wait to get a physical copy or the PlayStation/Xbox release. BUT the timing is still unfortunate.

If what I've heard is true, this has a lot less to do with greed than with the fact that something about the Latin Spanish support in LZA does something to the pokémons code that makes them incompatible with previous games, which don't use it.

I appreciate the writer highlighting the distinction between patents and trademarks to explain how this isn't as apocalyptic as people fear it could be. That said, it's still absurd they were given the patent so easily - shows a clear lack of understanding of the ramifications by the patent office.

As you mentioned earlier, people who may want to replicate the anime experience. Or alternatively, for challenge runs (where you have to wait until a certain point to allow the evolution).

I agree overall, but just to point something out: you know how in Legends Arceus, you can evolve pokémon out of battle anytime as they don't do it automatically? So theoretically they could give the option to evolve a pokémon anytime mid-battle if they have the minimum level or required item.
