A guy who plays way too much Pokémon and Nintendo and really likes birds, for some reason...

We need some realistic guarantee that games will remain downloadable for decades to come and that people can play, study, research, and learn from them for years to come. We want to share these games with our kids. So on, so on.

Like even if I'd rather have the physical cartridge for collection and because of my emotional connection to the IPs, I don't hate digital games. It's just a matter that they're more easily revokable and can't be easily preserved or accessed by new players/historians on consoles without hacking.

$25 per vinyl also seems like an okay value considering these are collector's pieces.

It might just be 8 GB actually. Switch 1 game is 4 GB, and then the Switch 2 Edition is 8 GB, so that 8GB may include the Switch game + the upgrade pack.

Z-A Switch 2 Edition was like 12-ish GB iirc (includes both copies of the game), so it's probably not that alone that was the determining factor.

I had a crash upon first boot of BDSP on my Switch 2 tbh, so this may have just been an issue that got worse with the new system firmware patch.
