Sorry, I’m not as familiar with FWISD and I certainly don’t mean to downplay whatever failures exist. We had/have those too. I’m just worried they are going to send you one of Miles’s right hands. Hoping this goes much better for y’all!

It’s a truly terrible choice. As an HISD parent I will tell you that lots of folks who thought they’d never choose private end up going that route. Even the kids least at risk pay a price in their mental and academic health. The takeover has been much worse than most of us imagined. Godspeed FWISD.

Have you followed what’s happened in Houston very closely? Even our very best schools have lost autonomy and faced record teacher turnover. And now they’re going to convert the top schools to charters because they complained too much about losing autonomy.

I’m so tired. And I know that’s exactly how they want it.

This brings back memories. Buddy Bucks were a very important part of our lives for years.

I wasn’t totally following but I think he was saying how could you blow out your elbow on an 85 mph pitch or something and he said “you throw a fuc—-“ and then he caught himself. After a second of silence Ford said “former MLB player Jeff Bagwell everyone. We’re hoping he gets to finish the series.”

Yeah that’s true.

I just need him to stop grunting and groaning and shouting when Ford is trying to call the action. I cannot hear the actual game.

I’m not a person that gets very wrapped up in famous people I’ve never met. But her death really impacted me. I think of her often and what she would say about these current moments in history.
