This isnt a perfect solution as stores may still cut the hours and picket the difference. Ultimately its your own decision to do what you think is best, so I offer the above advice to help you consider something you may not have considered. Solidarity to all my siblings fighting the good fight.

Spend the money you'd spend at that Starbucks somehwere else in the store. The baristas at the stores are grocery clerks first and can work other places in the store. If Starbucks sales drop but the Deli or Produce's increases, the workers can work in those departments and still have their hours.

The dilemma here is that by boycotting a unionized grocery store Starbucks, you are hurting the workers that have the stuff the strikers want. But by not doing it Starbucks still makes money, albeit less due to sharing a portion with the grocery company. It's complicated but I may have a solution.

The SWU members that are striking would probably take the contracts the grocery workers have in a heartbeat. I've been working on these contracts for over 10 years and others for longer. They arent perfect but they are a hell of a lot better than not having them and I want to see all workers succeed

We have contracts with these employers that have health and retirement benefits, hours guarantees, time off benefits, seniority rights, and more. We cannot strike nor take any economic actions (boycotts, etc) against their employers through the duration of the contract.

I think it could be done for that. Might take 3 separate stops and it isn't gonna be fancy by any means but honestly I think its just a stark reminder of how tight so many people's budgets are.

Thats the goal! I figure when I cant keep anymore I should be able to play on the field for hopefully many more years to come.

I'm also trying to be better about setting my limits and being realistic about what I can and can't do. Eventually I'll have to hang the gloves up but hopefully I've still got a few years left in me.
