Honestly, I usually find plenty of time to clean right when it's time to sit down and write or edit.

The most difficult part of writing for me seems to be opening the document.

Finished 2000 more words for Guardians 4, and I even closed out a chapter.

It feels nice to be getting back into a groove.

I love those mornings when the coffee just hits better.

Don't get me wrong, coffee is always good.

But there are some mornings when I just clutch my mug a little tighter and breathe those delightful caffeinated vapors more deeply, wishing it didn't have to end.

My writing stopped after Saturday, after some medication-induced tendonitis. But my arms are finally functioning, and I can finally write without much pain.

I completed over 2000 words today on Guardians of the Tide 4 before my arm began to ache. Best day in a while.

Who is your favorite book cover artist?

If I could afford my dream cover, I would hire Michael Whelan to design it. He's created most of my favorite covers throughout my life.

In fact, it was his coverart that led me to pick up some of my favorite series.

My fella is off for a three day weekend, but I still continued my writing streak. Only a couple hundred words yesterday but over a thousand today. Longest streak I've had since getting sick 4 months ago.

Now I just need to keep it going and not get sicker.

My fella is off work today. Actually the whole weekend. As a husband that's great news. As an author it is tragic for my current writing streak.

I have done a bit of work on a new species for Nix, but not a ton of writing.

So yard work today. Gym tonight. Then we'll see where this madness leads.

Creating names is a delicate process for me. I've spent weeks and pages, filled with brainstorming, before settling on the right name.

I need the right sound and feel for the person, the culture, and their traits. That's not easy to do, especially when naming a main character's parents.

As a Fantasy author, I am very disappointed in myself for not writing any books with dragons yet.

I have draconic intentions for certain. But I have yet to write those imagined beasts into the reality of my universe.

Finished writing a little over 1200 words for Guardians of the Tide #4 today. Not too bad considering I am just starting to dip my waters back into the seas of Nix after my long downtime from illness.

Since moving to Bluesky from Twitter, I've been hesitant to share my books here. Most of them are exclusive to Amazon, and from what I've witnessed, that platform doesn't have a good reputation here.

I hope to expand my books to wide distribution, but as an Indie author, time is short.

Had a test on my heart today. Scary!
