if you think "AI" is going to "outperform" writers at "literary fiction" we have nothing else to talk about. there is a fundamental rift in the way we see art and humanity and it's never gonna get solved, even when this AI horseshit goes away

If you sincerely think you have done the Author Job by having an idea, then of course it's legitimate to stick that idea into the regurgitron and claim the extruded word product as 'your book'. If the idea is all that counts then yes, you 'wrote a book'.
