I make films.
Opened a group exhibit last weekend with Pieter Swier and Site Steendam at Langhuis gallery in Zwolle. Deconstructed my short film Is All Around for it.

As director of the Louvre I'd spice things up by replacing the Mona Lisa without reason or announcement with a poster of all the first gen Pokémon.

Cinema-update: the DCP projector is finally in place, though not yet in one piece. I'll hopefully have it up and running for the Halloween double bill. Had to move the 35mm projector out of the way because the lamp is broken and someone threw out all the replacements.

Have this strong feeling I should be watching Doom (2005) this month.

I would add today (drinking, watching football, tearful political discussions, gossips) to Letterboxd if I could and give it 4 stars and a heart but not 5 stars because it was a little much sometimes.

Funny to me that the most divisive filmmaker out there making stuff right now is Wes Anderson.

I genuinely don’t understand why we need nuclear reactors to make more AI movies. I like a camera? I like making polygons? I like drawing lines and making them move :(

Did my twice a year internet scrape for Weerasethakul shorts last night and finally found Fireworks (Archives), Invisibility and half of One Water. What a haul!

RIP Tomonari Nishikawa.

One of the great filmmakers from these century has passed away. Let's remember his excellent work and the kind human he was. A tragedy for cinema, but most importantly, for his family.

RIP Tomonari Nishikawa, a good dude who I will miss dearly. We were in SUNY Binghamton's Cinema program together, class of 2003. He was the best of us. Watch his movies today: vimeo.com/tomonarinish...

I am working on (1) the next variation of "Six Seventy-Two Variations" and (2) a slide projector performance piece.
