Is "abolish ICE" in the same category? I don't believe in giving up ground like that. I believe in fighting for it. Democrats are scorned because they don't fight for what they believe in. They follow polls and which way the wind is blowing.

It's not just a slogan. It's a simple desire for the police to have less funding. I'm not satisfied by police reform. The very least politicians can do is not to demonize the slogan. Want a big tent? Be ok with "defund the police"

I find that surprising. So many people at the George Floyd protests. de Blasio elected and the police pushed so hard against him. People are hungry for them to face consequences. Copganda and police unions fight so hard because minorities, city-dwellers know they're the problem

They've done nothing so far but why does that mean they'll always do nothing? I think it's an Emperor's New Clothes thing. People are simply afraid to say and push for police defunding. Maybe it really matters to some people and that's why they say it. They won't be satisfied until it happens.
