Trump is bragging on his friend Jeanine Pirro who was on one of the "best tv shows." She wants to get rid of "no cash bail" which will result in holding people on the smallest charges. And that is a Catch 22 where people w/o jobs cannot pay bail. "I did a poster" Pirro says.

Under the DC Home Rule act, Trump is allowed to federalize DC police during an emergency (which doesn’t exist right now), but only for 48 hours. This can possibly be extended to 30 days with notice to Congress, but it’s also subject to judicial review.
