I've long thought it odd I love it as I care little re: biz but it's great company & news, fascinating & informative to hear live perspectives around the world, I love Roger Hearing's voice+ all the hosts. Here I was thinking it was normal for couples esp. in a rare reunion to want privacy & to relax in their home but I guess not everyone lives like that. It doesn’t seem like there’s much hope for them anyway & if so, perhaps he’d hope Martha will change Fallon’s mind somehow. #TheArchers

As a fellow person who absolutely didn't want children & has commented on enjoying one's peace & independence at home, I'm surprised that Fallon is so willing & eager to have Martha move in. Also suggests Harrison never plans even to visit. #TheArchers

Wonderful day today, 1st chance to use the #HayFestival online pass, starting with a wonderfully interesting & worrying talk on housing need vs the countryside with the great Chris Packham, Rosie Pearson & Kevin McCloud, whom I didn't realise was also a great advocate for nature--all talking sense.

One of the first things I saw in my father's home after he died suddenly was a shopping list, his lovely writing but the horror that he planned to get & need things but never came home. I wanted to keep it & thought I mustn't keep everything. I still regret leaving it years later. #TheArchers

Unusually after the jury #ESC votes, I was happy with the top several acts. The public votes skewed it but I thought my 1 vote made a difference when #Austria who deserved it for astonishingly singing a good song won but the UK didn't vote for him. Glad no nil points #Eurovision

So far Gary Owen's version of #Ghosts @Lyrichammersmith is superb. It's a powerful story & I always adore Ibsen--apart from the recent awful Enemy of the People meets Any Answers--but Victoria Smurfit & Callum Scott Howells in particular are outstanding. #theatre #London
