I was right now years old, when it hit me that having popcorn, most every night after your meal and as the before bed, isn't normal.

People who have never dealt with ongoing abuse, where someone is such a nuisance that the law won't even deal with them, really can't understand the notion of destroying something you love just so they can't lord it over you.
But it's a thing.
And it's the only thing to fix this.

This had been, objectively, the prettiest (and longest blooming pollinator haven) garden in the neighborhood.
This is what it looks like when you have spent the past year and a half being harassed, threats made on your life, and your property repeatedly garden attacked and vandalized by a bully.

Really wish I had a proper oven but those are pretty rare here, so the container I'm using to bake it is way smaller diameter than it should be. Deep = more bake time and more stirring. But there's nothing like fresh hi-protein granola.

The most ridiculous little adorable plants ever.. And they even survived this awful drought summer of high temps in this brutal northern sun. Here they're sun scorched and recovering, but they produced well.

Post-op day 10: Ripley has been given the green light to resume most of her normal activities, including being underfoot; annoying the cats; sneaky licking daddy at every opportunity; WALKIES!
She's such a good girl and took post-op confinement like a champ.

I held her while she got her first opiate injection, and we calmed her down while she drifted off. She's in surgery now.

This was a test twist I found while sorting the fleece for washing so I threw it in. Came out so soft and fluffy gorgeous.

Might have done a little wool washing. This is from 3 fleece, which iirc were some mixed breed dassenkop/zwatebles/blauw texelaar/swifter Franken Fleeces and they were gorgeous.
The intention was to spin from the fleece in the grease, but then a puppy happened. So here we are.
