Poet and musician, also an unapologetic lover of books and our future among the stars, Ad Astra.
Nice, both have been on my TBR for some time now.

For me it was James by Percival Everett, Stoner by John Williams, and Endurance by Alfred Lansing. Which is actually the top choice changes daily, lol.

Sounds great Steven, just out of curiosity what were your other two favorites of that top 3 of the year?

That’s great Steven, I read this one a few years ago, really enjoyed it. I keep meaning to get to Buffalo Hunter Hunter.

A truly different story for sure. Lightly kidnapping indeed 😉Not at all what I was expecting but unique!

Wow that sounds really great Barbara, especially with the addition of marigold and cornflower.

I’m enjoying a delicious black tea today as well, Mt. Kenyan, a wonderfully earthy, African tea with notes of apple and stone fruit.

Yes indeed Barbara. I felt as if the brevity of the story added to swift arrival of wonder and joy. I really enjoyed this one as well.

There were some wonderful descriptions in this story Barbara. I really loved the description of falling snow catching the evening light being similar to fireflies. I really need to check out more by Chanel Sutherland, thanks for linking an additional story. ☺️

Thanks for the additional info Barbara. How interesting, I was reading a Kafka short story the other day and lo and behold I noticed this story is in that collection as well.
