Honoring our veterans includes committing to help keep them safe and working to address firearm suicide.

Every day, on average, 13 veterans die from a self-inflicted firearm injury. Checking in with loved ones and talking about secure gun storage could save a life.

Excited to be at #APHA2025 to discuss the public health crisis of gun violence in the U.S. and how healthcare professionals can be part of the solution.

Patients whose physicians counsel them on secure firearm storage are 3x more likely to make decisions to store guns safely. #ThisIsOurLane

The Brady Gun Dealer Code of Conduct aids firearms dealers to more effectively prevent sales that divert guns to the criminal market, fueling gun violence. Most gun dealers want to sell guns responsibly, but others require education and, sometimes, pressure.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence is a critical gun violence prevention issue that is often overlooked. We must go beyond building awareness about this issue and actually take action to prevent domestic violence related firearm injuries and deaths. #DisarmDV

The Trump administration is slashing ATF resources and rolling back oversight of gun dealers making it even more important for states to hold the gun industry accountable. Last week we joined partners in MA for a briefing on a bill that would do that by creating a path to justice in the courts!

Gun homicide has a disparate impact on urban Black and Brown communities. But where do the guns come from?

Brady works with communities to address the small percent of gun dealers that engage in irresponsible behavior — selling guns that get trafficked into areas of high crime.
