I like the transparency shown within FSSB update issued in the past hour. Whilst I trust the board greatly, with most of them being people I’ve voted for, and other good members there, it’s important we have increased transparency and it’s great to see.

Good, clear answers to questions too. 🤍💙

A man named Steve Dale (oops, sorry for swearing) said there wasn’t much interest in football in the town of Bury.

Upwards now of 7️⃣7️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ tickets sold for fan-owned Bury Football Club at the 9th tier of English football.

It’s beautiful what can be done when football clubs are ran by people who care.

7️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣

Gargantuan football institution selling 7k tickets.

It’s credit to the amazing work by an army of people off the pitch as well as getting perfection on it. 🤍💙🏆
Up the record breaking Shakers. 🙌

We have now sold 6️⃣0️⃣2️⃣8️⃣ tickets for our season finale against Burscough FC meaning that we have surpassed the previous NWCFL attendance record! 🔥🔥🔥

Padiham at home… then a game played on neutral ground at FC United… in a title race… right at the end of the season. Sounds familiar.

A massive congratulations to the elected three! It takes huge guts to put yourself forward to represent the club, be subject to scrutiny and be responsible for shaping our future!

We have elected 3 good candidates I believe. Good luck to them! Let’s get behind them and the board!

Now that voting has closed for deciding who represents us on the board during the next 3 years, we need to back whoever is added, if you voted for them or not. Get behind them, give them a chance, scrutinise where necessary, communicate & ask questions. I’m sure they’ll do their best, for us all! 🤍💙

Regarding community aspect/aims, the club & stadium is & continues to grow as what we all want it to be off the pitch! A club should represent the town, it’s people & be hub for the whole community in regards to football. Things going on now after hard work & future initiatives planned too. Love it.

The work doesn’t stop.

- Disability footy for our most vulnerable, kicking off in 3 days after months of work.
- Plans for something else began last month, I’ll be getting VERY stuck into that, again, so the club is for everybody!
- My own plans in future, just delayed, myself improved.

We did it. So that kids like I was, don’t miss out, like I did, on doing what they want to do. Yeah it’s a bit personal 🤣.

All planned out with coaches, ready to go. Please sign up below and tell anyone who may be interested 🤍💙.

Amazing work here 🤩👏🏼.

Amongst other things, pan-disability football beginning this month too, initially for young kids, after many months of work. The town has shamefully lacked it for decades, and I’m overjoyed both that it’s happening and that I can be a part of it. Itching for it to start. 🤍💙

In our hands 👐🏼.

With wins all the way to the end of the season, we’ll get our hands on the title and a farewell to the NWCFL, but it’s still a long 12 games to go.

12 more loud games willing the team on, we can do this 👌🤍💙UTfS

Accounts: It’s good. Without jumping into financial jargon, it’s good.

Christmas games make it that bit sweeter. We need to keep going, including more facility use and continuing to find new revenues, amongst other things. 🤍💙

I understand the FSSB nominations are now closed. Respect to anyone standing & hope candidates understand the magnitude of the role. I'll be carefully reading the statements, all about competency & values for me to build on what has been achieved & incorporating any learning.

Took my mate to see the Bury and he said “the mustard uniform isn’t the one” and that it’s fucking Baltic 🥶.

Stop off at a place just north of Burnley I know from uni. 🤍💛💙

2 weeks. Meeting held tonight, we’re getting ready to go.

This is a requirement in my opinion, it’s not competitive, it’s just about fun and the right thing to give all kids the chance to play football.

This club 🤍💙🥰
I’m OVERJOYED to be a part of getting this in place!

I had to stop playing at 7 until 10 due to my disability & to put it mildly, it wasn’t a nice feeling that I still remember today.

There’s graft behind the scenes, this is exactly something #buryfc should be doing, football is for everybody!

Football is now no longer “a man’s game”. Polly Bancroft, amongst others, is clearly an example for many females wanting to work in football/sport.

Good luck to all candidates, all deserve respect, it’s a huge responsibility and massive commitment required.

Aaron Chalmers:

Beyond great work we do with various types of analysis, there’s a type of player, especially in certain moments that I’ve learnt since 2020 that wins you titles. I like Hockenhull (👌), plus others but Chalmers is the closest to that gritty bastard who gets hands on titles. Big miss!
January 5, 2025 at 4:29 AM
WD&C were better, simple as; solid in defence, great midfield press, finished their chances.

You’ll get reactionary, very emotional posts about players, play style, formation & as I heard at HT, management. But keep your heads, support.

One match, but hurts. Sprint to the line needs to begin soon.
January 5, 2025 at 4:28 AM
Others hate it (obviously) but it’s how we should be operating, attracting the best proven players at this level and getting them in 🤍💙
⚪🔵 Welcome to Bury: Lewis Byrne

The 27-year-old joins us from Chadderton and is in great goal scoring form, with 34 to his name this season.

No New Year, new me. Just a continuation of the progression and work from 2024. And I’m grateful to have every last person, plus others, from last New Year’s Day, alongside me.

Happy New Year all. 💜

Day off day job, but the work doesn’t stop.

Day spent on football club projects (👀), just finished and off to the gym as all this festive booze and food has taken its toll 🤣🫃🏻.

Overall, a good year I think for @buryfc.bsky.social, with the odd dark day or two, especially that play-off final - still hurts. Missed a couple of matches recently which were both the league losses, I maintain you still can’t blame me for them though! 🤣

2025 will honestly be bright for #buryfc.
