Just as they refer to "The Ukraine" as opposed to just "Ukraine", in an effort to relegate a sovereign nation to being just a region of Russia.

The crucial bit here is "and various other participating countries", which means Ukraine. So, it’s essentially a threat to halt all trade and place sanctions on Ukraine and other European nations that support them in various ways.

…..we definitely should not be surprised when they no longer feel safe around or wish to associate with us. We are telling our allies that we do not respect them, and will not stick up for them or for the values that we have long claimed to share. 3/6

We are teaching our young girls that their bodily autonomy does not matter, and that they must accept their diminished lot in life as just the way things are. We are telling our gay and trans family that we do not care about them or acknowledge who they really are, so……. 2/6

Un Village Français is a great WW2 drama set in a French village. Very much worth watching as we deal with the rise of fascism in the U.S.

Yes. I also feel that people should also make an effort to credit editorial cartoonists and the like. A lot of the memes that go around are in fact someone’s work product.
