As part of the lead up to the #winnipeg budget, being released on Nov. 14, the Mayor's Office has shared that according to Calgary, Winnipeg has the lowest taxes among major cities. The city is using this to indicate how affordable Winnipeg is.

An epiphonal book I read 30 years ago is Donna Williams’ “Nobody Nowhere”. We have so much to learn!

I know we are going to default to big cities, but I am constantly amazed at what my little hometown is doing. Bike networks, programming, recreation, recycling, bilinfualisn, greenscaping.. you name it Cowansville, Québec punches above its weight.

It was great to be able to cross the street at Portage and Main this morning! Something so simple and basic that is so very important. So hard to believe that pedestrians haven't been able to cross the street here for almost 50 years! #winnipeg
