@dorianlynskey.bsky.social Sorry you aren leaving OGWN. Your humour and insight will be missed. Good to hear the extra bit. Would you be able to give episode numbers for the Kinnock episode and the episode with Mark Gatiss' inspirational speech? Also the quoted episode with Guy Garvey? Good luck!

@camsell59.bsky.social Another great WSC podcast and I'm glad you enjoyed Dobson's sweets from Elland, which nestles between Huddersfield and Halifax- nowhere near Leeds. I took some students once to make pear drops, a surprisingly simple process.

@polprofsteve2024.bsky.social Close to the Edge is an amazing track but I urge you to listen to their other work. Try the rest of the album for starters. Truly beautiful songs, especially And You and I. Great to hear your contribution to OGWN by the way.

This is Mylor Councillor Peter Lawrence at the Great British Strike in Truro today

The mask is off. This is the true face of Reform supporters. This is the ugly and dangerous racist hatred that was on display in Truro today.

@stuartmaconie.bsky.social Thank you for coming over to Huddersfield this afternoon to the LBT. A very interesting chat and I certainly learned some new Beatle facts. I agree with you about the Beatle story being part of our national narrative and that McCartney is an unrivalled musical genius.

@camsell59.bsky.social A cursory look at Derek Dougan's Wikipedia page suggests that he led a very colourful life. It says that he was a fan of psychedelic rock but I have also read that he is on the cover of a live Rory Gallagher album, a front row face in the crowd. Surely this is a unique feat?

@weareterriers.com The podcast, your analysis and assessments, are always spot on. Don't worry, you are still hitting the mark and I look forward to every episode and email. You are spot on though- people are getting increasingly angry, and frightened, and football is the escape valve.

@jessphillipsmp.bsky.social Just want to express solidarity with you & acknowledge that the standards of decency in politics have declined to such an extent that you have been failed by many MPs on the Oppn. benches. You have always worked tirelessly and effectively for women throughout your career.

@msmirandasawyer.bsky.social Just finished 'uncommon people'- an amazing glimpse into a very special time in music and a treasured time for many people. No major errors- should read Clint Mansell not Clint Boon from PWEI. Now back to my Britpop Spotify list!
