They’re doing an emergency food drive at work. Went through my canned food cabinet. I had stuff I’ll never eat before the expiration date (thanks, Mounjaro). Donated what I could, tossed expired stuff, and reorganized my cabinet. Hope to do the same with my garage pantry shelves this weekend.

What a great day! Saw a young deer (buck) running through my neighborhood on the way to work. Discovered that a project I thought was due Monday isn’t due until the 24th (got a start on it anyway). Swam for an hour & a half. Did a grocery pickup. Now I’m home with tons of good TV to stream!

It’s a good thing I’m not sleeping well tonight. Our electricity just went out for a bit. Not sure how many minutes, but more than a flicker - long enough to cause my alarm clock to reset to midnight with no alarm on. That would have been a nightmare to oversleep on a work day!

Opened up a Chewy box of cat toys. While I was distracted, Allie chose her own toy from the box. She is diligently protecting it from Sir Gideon the Gray, who is way too interested in her catnip banana.

Just woke up at my normal “get ready for work” time. But it’s not a workday, so I’m going back to bed. Went to the kitchen to get a glass of milk & the feline Breakfast Club showed up for soft food - which I had to serve because it’s their workday breakfast time. 😂

I not only went to the pool today, I stripped my bed, washed everything, & remade the bed. Did two other loads of laundry & put them away. Unloaded, reloaded, & ran the dishwasher. Put away dishes. Got rid of more too-big clothing. Did a grocery pickup & put 2 88¢/lb turkeys into the garage freezer.
