It’s taken me years to figure it out but this is exactly the case and has been for long time.
There is no batshit far-right idea that the NYT's "reasonable" conservatives will not launder into polite discourse.

Great movie!
FRANKENSTEIN is on NETFLIX but- still in many theatres- please consult your local listings and choose your watch/rewatch preference!
Where do I even begin? Guillermo del Toro @realgdt.bsky.social has created an absolute masterpiece. I only wish I’d had the chance to experience it on the big screen. The story of Frankenstein has been told countless times, but never like this.

I feel like most of America has not seen this. Searching for it on the web yields little, in my limited experience.

Imagine… it’s easy if you try.
Imagine if the Democratic Party actually helped Zohran instead of trying to kneecap him at every step. A better party is immediately possible if they stop shoving money into the anti-trans combination Racism Dial/Money Toilet and instead get behind candidates people actually want.

the destruction of chattel slavery is one of the great accomplishments in our nation's history and the reason conservatives hate celebrating it is because doing so legitimizes the black counter-narrative of the united states

Shocking
Here's a longer video of Brad Lander's detention just now inside 26 Federal Plaza as he tried to walk a man out of immigration court, by masked federal agents.

This is correct. Sorry for taking 3500 words to say it
tl;dr — is this correct?

1) Post 2008, hedge funds are the source of market liquidity

2) Hedge funds have to unwind their positions/mitigate risk quickly when things go badly; "badly" includes periods of high volatility

4) Trump = volatility = no way to escape a liquidity crisis

A grim detail in this story is that university officials are doing *daily monitoring* to see which students have had their visas revoked. Federal officials never informed the schools.
US revokes more Mass. university student visas as schools offer support
The visas of 17 students at two universities in Massachusetts have been revoked by the federal government this week.

Very good, long read that illustrates the problems with making stuff in the USA from a bike company POV, but it’s generalizable. We don’t want to work low wage factory jobs yet we have still been an innovative and productive country, despite all the BS doomsaying from the current regime.
This is a long read and a really good deep dive into how one small bike manufacturing company is preparing to navigate tariffs. For them right now, the only certainty is uncertainty.

It IS happening here. not hypothetical anymore. First amendment and fourth amendment rights violations, to begin with.
The "Is it a constitutional crisis yet?!" discussion is so absurd: Of course you can construct increasingly esoteric definitions for why this current moment doesn't meet your exact criteria yet. But meanwhile, this is where we are: Masked agents of the states abducting people for writing op-eds.
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.
