Not the Steve Young you are thinking of.

Sometimes a corporate lawyer, sometimes an art software developer.

I really didn't expect to see a major national brand of any type show this much backbone. I do love that at least that local hotel recognizes that ICE is not the kind of people you want for customers.

Giving someone a pass on impeachment because it might not work just sends the message that we don't think these actions are impeachment-worthy.

There should be articles of impeachment to cover every impeachable offense he has committed. If there have to be hundreds of them, so be it.

She is right about using it in a field you already have expertise in. It can be a major aid to productivity, but if you don't know enough about the area to see the issues the agent is about to stumble into, you will spend a lot more time sorting out its messes.

And his supporters/enablers (which at this point includes not only republican politicians, but also most of the national news media) will cover for him by saying, “well actually, Maduro’s not such a great guy,” as though that is at all relevant.

I mean, of all the people who might post how much they love your wife, you should be right up there near the top of the list.

I have tried and failed to stop adding “Please …” to the begging of every request. I know it uses up unnecessary tokens, but I can’t bring myself to be even a little curt when I’m asking it to do something for me.

I jumped at the chance to have chicken sashimi one night when I was in Japan. When else will it be ok to each raw chicken?

What was funny was that after I ate it, I found myself instinctively keeping the chopsticks away from my other food, because they had touched raw chicken.

Yes. I spent many years as a lawyer drafting and negotiating contracts, and it is important for anyone who will be bound by a contract to read the whole thing. The lawyer is very important and will explain much of it, but they likely don't perfectly understand what is important to you.

I want to see stores asking off-duty ICE thugs to leave. "We don't want your business and we won't accept your dirty money."

Same for banks and landlords.

Ugh. We are *so* going to lose the next war.

Can you imagine being assigned to serve on such a ship? How embarrassing that would be.

The way they will play this is obvious: offer Trump the sleeves off your vest, portray it as a really difficult give, note that this is going to really hurt your own annual bonus, and then say that Trump is just such a good negotiator that you had to concede this. No need to make any actual give.

How can the other people in the room not have said something like, "wait, this is nuts. We'll look like a bunch of idiots. Let's tone down the nonsense a bit, and we will still get to do the bulk of our corruption"?

As if the problem is that we just aren't listening enough to people who do not engage in good faith and actively intend to do harm to others.

I say "listening" because, let's be honest, these "discussions" are only ever intended to go in one direction.

38% approving of this dumpster fire indicates something deeply wrong with humanity.
