We need leaders that are not bought out by money, that are not beholden to archaic mindsets, and that are absolutely WILLING to fight for US. Those that do are few and far between.

We cannot stop fighting for change. We must persist, and vote out the old to usher in an America that works for us.

Why the hell did you waste time voting yes to a ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND MEANINGLESS "condemn socialism" bill? Excuse my language but what horse shit is that!?

Healthcare is skyrocketing. This admin acts criminally every fucking day. Agencies are being killed. And THAT'S WHAT YOU DECIDE TO VOTE FOR!?

We do deserve better, and that's why YOU, Schumer and a lot of these old guard in our party need to get out of the way, sir. We need systemic change in this party, because clearly you and leadership cannot rise to meet the gravity of the moment. We WANT dems to succeed! We also WANT GOOD dems!

I guess my final question, that probably we all can't know, is when will Dem leadership change? When will the truly adapt to this fight fully? And will they fight hard to win for all of us? I'm optimistic about midterms but also worried as long as these old guys keep in charge.

I'd like to think that we are in the midst of the virus being fought out of our body. Like we're sweating and coughing but finally fighting it off. And I think the overall electorate is going to only continue feeling pain from this admin, which will continue massive disdain against this admin.

Hi! Long time lurker first time commenter lol. Totally agree. The optimist in me believes maybe these things are needed to stir our (Democratic) base into realizing we need true change. While also combating the fascism. They aren't mutually exclusive! But I am also frustrated at Schumer & old heads.

You and all of the older senators need to get out. You're doing nothing but being weak, holding us back, and looking out for your own self interests. For us to combat this threat of fascism we need true leaders and people who can fight for us, and that sure ain't YOU.

Chuck Schumer is like the old man at your workplace that's been there for 30+ years, but still needs help opening up Microsoft Word. Get him the fuck out along with all the old guard.

From a human standpoint: solidarity/connection gives hope. Why be afraid if you're backed by MILLIONS of others who have your back? You don't have to acquiesce. It's that hope that drives people to get more involved and create change: legislative/local/social. And that's why large protests work.

Yes to what the others said, but also: no matter who or what administration in whatever country, protests are tangible means of public pressure. Pressure matters because it shows elected officials they're job is on the line or gone. They SEE it. Which means they lose money. Money talks.

Every single person that was out there today made history! You all showed what it REALLY means to be American!!

Funniest thing I've read today: "The No Kings protests are the biggest gathering of low info voters."

...says guy who falls in line with the party that routinely doesn't even know the fucking Constitution. The irony is real.

Proud of everyone out there protesting today!! Fight the good fight!
