Coincidentally I watched Assignment 4 from an old BBC sci-fi series Sapphire and Steel yesterday which features a faceless man, hope I wasn't to blame for your bsky anomaly, Eri!

Have you seen Jess Franco's first horror movie, The Awful Dr. Orlof (1962)? It was inspired by George Franju's "Eyes Without a Face" and influenced by the classic gothic Hammer horrors. It's generally considered to be Spain's first genuine horror movie.

Happy New Year, Tori! Coincidentally my first film of 2025 was from the early 80s too! I didn't opt for anything seasonal and it wasn't a first time watch but wanted to start the year off with a classic so chose Abel Ferrara's "Ms .45" (1981)

You should also check out Robert W. Chambers "The Maker of Moons" collection which was published the following year, 1896, which also contains a few weird fantasy tales.
