Just a duck who hates fascism, loves America, and enjoys sports.
You’re misunderstanding the role of money, and it’s a common misunderstanding. Candidates don’t get money from AIPAC or the NRA in order to take pro-Israel or pro-gun positions. They already have those positions and so they get the money.

If you think the Democratic Party in 2025 is remotely similar to 90s neoliberalism you are one of the biggest marks alive and I hope you don’t run into any wallet inspectors today.
December 6, 2025 at 6:44 PM
No one was talking to you.
December 6, 2025 at 6:42 PM
There was no major Dem push to stop him. Did you ever consider that Schumer just doesn’t like the smarmy rich kid who pals around with antisemites? That would frankly fit the actual facts better.
December 6, 2025 at 6:41 PM
You just have a narrative in your head that everyone is out to get you and anyone like you, and you refuse to acknowledge evidence to the contrary. Schumer didn’t campaign for Cuomo, Jeffries endorsed Mamdani. So did the sitting governor. The party’s presidential nominee endorsed him.

Hugely underrated element of politics: political actors genuinely believe in their principles. Maybe they really just believe rent control is dumb, antisemitism is bad, and that defunding the police is stupid. [they wouldn’t be wrong!]

You’re literally brigading for a Nazi tho
December 6, 2025 at 2:42 PM
The original claim was that Democrats block movement to the left not “some Democrats are more conservative than others”. So yes, proof of blocking things would be required for the claim to make sense.
December 6, 2025 at 2:41 PM
Jeffries endorsed Mamdani. So this isn’t even an internally consistent argument from you.
December 6, 2025 at 2:40 PM
Would endorsing the Nazi be the way to pretend to be progressive in your eyes?

Anyway, I have things to do. Have fun jerking off to Marx or whatever it is you guys do in your spare time.
December 5, 2025 at 8:38 PM
So you have the reading comprehension of a goldfish, that's good to know.
December 5, 2025 at 8:38 PM
If you're making outlandish claims then you need to provide evidence to match. Going "nuh-uh" is really not going to meet that bar, Jack.
December 5, 2025 at 8:37 PM
It is absolutely correct. If anyone, Ken Martin *could* be said to be "The Leader" but obviously that's silly too.
December 5, 2025 at 8:35 PM
Yes it does.
December 5, 2025 at 8:34 PM
It's not incorrect to say that no, Chuck Schumer is not The Leader of the Democratic Party. It's not a semantic argument either - if you're misinformed enough to think that there are downstream effects of that wrong belief.
December 5, 2025 at 8:04 PM
And that's why a number of establishment Dems backed Mamdani? (Including his own governor and the recent presidential nominee?) Because The Party was so committed to blocking him? Not sure I follow that.
December 5, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Yes it is. Sometimes the previous standard-bearer was the main figure but other times it would be the party chair. The idea that it would ever be the minority party leader is not borne out by decades of history.
December 5, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Sitting back and not affirmatively endorsing Mamdani did not block movement toward the left. And certainly wasn't a show that The Party does everything possible to block said movement.
December 5, 2025 at 8:00 PM
He's *a* leader, I guess sure. But he's not THE leader. There is no one leader unless the party has the presidency or a nominee. That's just the way it's worked for decades.
December 5, 2025 at 7:59 PM
Actually the point is one thing is worse than the other and pretending that's not true is silly.
