This is very weird to have a show that nine years ago got almost grudgingly positive reviews that always ended with “of course, it’s not SERIOUS TV” and suddenly people get it close to a decade later.

Oh, I feel that deeply. Cause Vetinari cares for the city. He cares about the people (both the concept of The People and very specific individuals). I’ve mostly read the Watch & Industrial Revolution arcs but he doesn’t seem to do things for his own glory but to improve the quality of life?
