Very early #OnThisDay, 6 May 1944, Marguerite 'Peggy' Knight parachutes into occupied France to be a courier for the Special Operations Executive.

Knight fought her way out of an attempted capture, and returned to the UK in Sept 1944.

NEW: Idaho has reported 15 new H5N1 bird flu-infected dairy herds in a single day the largest one-day increase in weeks.

The virus is rapidly spreading through U.S. agriculture, with 86 affected herds in Idaho alone and a total of 1,047 nationwide.
