The gang’s all here! I have ANXIOUSLY awaited OATHBOUND’s release, and I’m so excited to have it on my shelves and to be diving into it for the first time tonight! I know @tracydeonn.bsky.social is going to rip me to shreds with this one, and I can’t wait for it!

I had a woman come into store today and ask me for help finding books from a list I wrote when I ran B&N Reads and it made my whole day 🥹 I miss getting to market books to people online and can’t wait to get back to digital marketing full time someday soon 🤞🏼

After 13 years in publishing and nearly a quarter of that somehow keeping the ultimate vague 👀 author secret, I finally get to announce that FINDING HER EDGE is going to be adapted for TV! All the figure skating drama you could want are coming to Netflix and Family Channel!

I’m amazed by my friends who work retail and also manage to read a ton of books a year…I get home from work and working out and fall asleep a few pages in with all my lights on without fail 😅

I recently finished SOME LIKE IT COLD by @ellemcnicoll.bsky.social, and if you’re looking for a lovely holiday romance, it’s a great one to kick off your holiday reading with! I loved every minute of it!

Spent the evening after a shift of bookselling prepping pumpkin cinnamon rolls and a maple glaze (plus gluten/dairy free pumpkin chai bars with a caramel drizzle) for tomorrow’s Friendsgiving…and I made it through 4 entire cast albums/movie musical soundtracks while doing so 🙈

Bookselling isn’t where I thought I’d find myself this year — I really hoped I’d be working in marketing at a publisher — but nothing beats helping a kid find a book that makes them excited about reading 🥹

I’ve gone back to bookselling after a year and a half long job search that resulted in me getting to the final round for publishing positions 13 separate times. I’m still holding out hope that one day I’ll get that job in publishing to market kids, YA, or romance books, but we’ll see what happens.
