True patriots don’t believe the president should be a king.

True patriots don’t support an attempted coup.

True patriots don't want to strip Americans of our freedoms.

It’s time to stop letting Republicans claim the mantle of patriotism. They’ve done nothing to deserve it.

I am looking at getting a hybrid or gravel bike for commuting to work. The trip is 28 miles out and back on mostly on paved trails with some city bike lane sections and 370 ft total ascent. Any suggestions?

Trump's attacks on the USPS aren't new.

For decades, the GOP has been trying to privatize the Post Office and other crucial public services — all to pad the profits of their wealthy corporate donors.

Recently finished this book on the privatization of education. The time period covered is from 1960s to 2019. The focus was mostly on vouchers and I would have like more attention on funding for education. That said this was a great book.

Why do so many feel like they've fallen behind?

It's not because of immigrants, trans people, DEI, the “deep state,” or any other bogeyman trotted out by the GOP.

It's because big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

The CFPB has:

-Returned $20B to victims of financial fraud
-Cracked down on junk fees
-Fought against politically-motivated debanking
-Protected veterans from predatory lenders
-Protected consumers' data from corporate abuse

Oligarchs want to reverse all of this.
Laws Are Not Suggestions: How the CFPB Is Delivering for the American People - American Economic Liberties Project
Under Director Rohit Chopra, the CFPB has held scammers like Wells Fargo accountable, returning billions of dollars of Americans’ hard-earned money to their bank accounts; fought back against Wall Street and Big Tech’s discriminatory and anti-competitive behavior; ensured violating the law can no longer be written off as just a “cost of doing business;” and restored financial freedom to millions of Americans held hostage by the credit reporting cartel.

It’s alarming that Elon Musk has access to government payment systems used to deliver Social Security and Medicare benefits.

He also drove out the senior career official at Treasury responsible for preventing a potential default on U.S. debt.

Congress must investigate.
Elon Musk’s Team Now Has Full Access to Treasury’s Payments System
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gave Mr. Musk’s representatives at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency a powerful tool to monitor and potentially limit government spending.
