You know, therapy probably *would* be a lot more popular if it unlocked a new magical girl transformation sequence each time you went like it does for her.

But that's my one big complaint. Once I got over my hangups, Iargely had fun. It feels so much more like an ensemble, with both stellar new additions to the franchise (Ake and Thok) & characters I'm deeply curious about (SAM and Jay-Den), while Caleb seems to be speedrunning the Dal 'play nice' arc

bit it takes me out of the setting when there are tribal campus rivalries and school spirit and collegiate sports. It's just... not a thing in most places. It takes me even more out of it when a bunch of aliens who've never been to Earth before immediately fall into that very tribal US culture.

Look, empathy, emotional manipulation, and teleportation just aren't Raven's core, defining powers, forming the basis of her character. She's all about the kung fu and energy blasts and just had nothing in her toolkit to deal with Jinx save releasing a person who tried to kill them again last week.

Possibly the most annoying thing is that the male Titans don't get messed with in this way. Kory's hair and costume have been toned down, but at least they haven't made her 5ft tall, given her a dye job, and retconned her name to be something completely different.

God they really gave Raven the idiot ball in this one. Also, like, didn't Dick say she got a powerup too? She couldn't have dealt with Jinx herself? Two arcs of her accepting her dark side and I guess all she got out of it was a new costume and red eyes.

And out of character. Terra hated and tried to kill Raven especially for not buying her shtick, and Terra's one of the few people Raven has always disliked because she could sense Terra's intentions were hostile. And just last issue Raven

And it seems out of character. Terra hated Raven especially for not buying her shtick. She's one of the few people Raven actively disliked because she could sense Terra's intent. Just last issue she said she didn't think Terra was redeemable. I'm inclined to believe the lie-detecting empath.

George Perez was one of the most incredible people we had the chance to meet. He graciously signed the brooch for the Raven costume.

I think the bit I'm confused on with white raven was that she was previously Raven full stop, at her most balanced/free. I think having WR represent some specific aspect of Raven rather than being the whole is new. My thought was that she represented power, maybe? Anyway, cheers for the answers!

When did the chakra become a prison, not a focus? Actuaually, when did she split herself apart?? Does White Raven *not* represent being free of Trigon's influence? What exactly happened to her after merging aside from the glam-up? Is she now stable enough to face & process her abusive upbringing?
