I'm a boogie rambler. Boogie night and day. Boogie all the time.
Heh, yeah, prices will go up for Trump's term, then when the Democrats restore sanity and good policy prices will start to come back down.

That's a big part of it, a lack of proper education. Poorly educated people are easy to manipulate and fall victim to conspiracy theories. They don't understand the world and how it is changing, and that terrifies them. Trump tells them he can fix it, that he can make it like it was, make it better.

Anyone who voted for Trump doesn't get to hide behind 'that's not what I voted for'. They voted for chaos and they're getting it. Expect it to get worse.

The people who voted for Trump were bamboozled, or simply weren't smart enough to understand that Trump was going to do a lot of batshit crazy stuff and Musk was going to be given a lot of power. I'm not surprised by any of it, we knew Trump would be chaotic and we knew Musk would be terrible.

Not surprising since Trudeau is an amateur boxer and actually a pretty decent fighter.

My hope is the general laziness of the Sask Party will work in our favor. Moe and his crew seem focused on shifting taxpayer dollars to their private pals, and they don't seem all that interested in much else. That's bad in many ways, and good in some. Sask desperately needs a good government.

The part about the savage glee is very true. We Saskies do love to drop the gloves.

The forecast is a high of -5C (23F). In rural Canada where I live I'd be working outside in a light sweater at that temperature, and if I was working hard I'd be sweating enough to just be in a t-shirt. This is in no way 'dangerous' cold for police outside, or for horses.

Is Trump suffering from dementia? I'm not joking, he's saying some very batshit crazy stuff. If Trump really believes any of this is going to happen, that's concerning.

Pretty sure there is. We have three vaccines ready to go in Canada already, if we need them, which we do not at this moment.

Yes, I've noticed that. He seems to have developed a kind of persecution complex, and is playing up 'being attacked'. He actually vague-posted about our interaction and straight up lied about what happened. He does good work, mostly, I'm not sure what's going on with him now.

I'm not worried about Nenshi. He knows how to skate hard to the corners and throw elbows. The kid's got game. I expect the Nenshi NDP to win the next Alberta election. Nenshi doesn't make the classic NDP mistake of 'playing nice' and bringing a plate of cookies to a boxing match.

Then just do it and get it over with. I work at being kind and doing good things in the world. But if you want to actually change the world you're going to have to get dirty doing it.

I don't think I am, and I don't care either way. Truth is truth. Have a good day.

It is true that I have zero tact. But I disagree that it's cruel to lack tact. One of the reasons politics is terrible is because humans don't like to hear hard truths and don't like to be asked to do hard things. So politicians have to lie to people, all the time.
December 21, 2024 at 1:44 PM
That isn't a plan. You are literally talking about changing human nature. I think, maybe, one possible solution, is for the NDP to lean into their socialist roots and present a bold socialist vision that younger voters can get behind. But I'm not sure that solves it either.

I tell the truth. I know that can come off as rude or obnoxious. Up to you if you want to engage or not. You can't offend me, no worries.
