I enjoy Baltimore sports and I have 3 kids. (Very) amateur kids sports coach.
Right, “they’re out to get me” is a valid defense if you get fired for stealing office supplies.

And just in the sense of self-preservation, he was hired by the previous owners. Going in to 2024 he was super secure in his job. He’s not anymore and he has to assume there’s a chance Rubenstein wants his own guy if this doesn’t turn around.

A combo of 1 and 2. Going back to the draft and trade deadline it’s clear there’s been a reevaluation of the approach, and unless he’s genuinely dumb(he’s not) it had to become clear he wasn’t going to farm system his way to a title anytime soon. I also think ownership was like “no seriously…”

I’m still trying to remember how many l’s are in Jackson Holiday, give me a break.

I don’t have that kind of time

Literally same. Was like “ah shit, where’d he go?”

Did I miss something?

100% agree. For example I’m not crazy about Grayson for Ward but I do like that for once they weren’t thinking “yeah but in 3 years this could look bad.”

I mean they got it wrong but I don’t know that it implies they’re specifically against the Ravens.

That’s funny because I’ve been taking my 4th grader to Ravens games the last couple of years and have actually has a talk with him about how we can yell at the refs when they make a bad call, but continuously whining that it’s rigged is a bad look.

Pretty sure that mind died.

He’s gonna look like either a big liar or a big loser if they come away empty handed

Interesting…

I don’t want Tucker back, but Loops kickoffs are awful and he’s missed two XPs

A decade? It would have been ludicrous 2 years ago.

My old roommate worked for the Wizards, on the same floor as the GM and personnel staff, but he was in ticket sales. Occasionally he’d get a scoop that turned out to be right because he heard something around the office, but he also heard a bunch of stuff that turned out to be wrong.

My theory on this is that the best reporters like Passan and Rosenthal talk to the GMs and agents, and Bob Nightengale talks to the guy in the mailroom.

I’m on board with the concept but it would depend on the pitching coming back.
