Also, as Dale notes, provinces have no room to incarcerate more people. Judges are reducing custodial sentences because jail conditions are so bad. bsky.app/profile/jour...
For the record, in Ontario jails, 78 percent of people are in pre-trial detention and have not been convicted. Facilities are so overcrowded they are triple-bunking in tiny cells.

Would love to hear this framed on Volts as a climate impact - with early onset impacts causing the exactly worst/feedback loop social inequality impacts (where risks make generosity feel hard), and concomitant, how best climate integration is social solidarity.

Im so happy you have a heart tree too. Ours is a peach leaf willow, on the banks of the Ottawa River, where it takes a sharp eastward turn towards parliament.
