#9: I wrecked one Index by kayaking too much, I think, it would be interesting to know just how well this is sealed up, if anything. Or if I should use my current Index as a sacrificial sweat headset.

#10: For the Index controllers I had to tweak them to get them comfortable, paddles for hands.

#6: In discussions it came up renting a big space to do room-scale anything, or an open field.

#7: I have 1500 VR games in my library, apparently Walkabout added an .apk, it would be pretty glorious to have all kinds of titles standalone out of the box!

#8: The current Steam browser does not.

Gunheart, it was my Halo in VR substitute, and had unlocks, progression and eventually a campaign. Weapon mutators, co-op, skins, and looked great.

Congratulations! My main narrative consumption this year has been audio books. Turns out my brain is a private cinema with books, and even more with audio books if there's a good narrator.

I've been away from VR almost entirely this year, for various reasons, I have played none of the nominees although I own some 😅 Whelp! Guess I should get on it eh?

Oh yeah I started on this series but didn't go past the first book, didn't rate it too highly. Maybe I should continue it 🤔

#4: Like when building for mobile, I connect the device up through USB or paired over WiFi, and can build and run straight from the IDE.

#5: Just out of curiosity, would like to make a stream overlay element using the data, if it can be mapped.

That's it for now, guess I'll await official details.

#1: I imagine making a fixed LED reference that could calibrate a Lighthouse system with the Frame, so I can still use all my Tundra trackers.

#2: Professionally I work on Android apps, among other things, I wouldn't mind making accessories.

#3: My applications are data pipes, API extensions.

Ah, so it's using a separate camera, neat! Instead of just sampling the current frame buffer 😗 It still relies on where you stand though, so I guess it's not made to prevent odd angles for reference photos. I guess some might need that odd angle... uhoh! 😉

I think my conclusion is that I should probably try standard fantasy again, or sci-fi, which I still do frequent.

The game mechanic worlds are usually interesting though, which is a good hook.

That said I've also quit a number of them, like Ultimate Level 1, Shadeslinger and Defiance of the Fall.

In some cases, the books transition to be more story, like Chrysalis, but some keep the focus on leveling, like Azarinth Healer. Then there's low key systems like in The Wandering Inn that stays discreet.

It's hard to know beforehand how a series will develop over time, across multiple books.

When megacorps like CocaCola doesn't pay for traditional artists to create a seasonal ad, I can't think of much else that screams: Industry Collapse

I feel like AI gen is successful because it's based on human output, will AI output become good enough for future training before human output ends?

A screenshot of albums registered in Winamp. Problematic names:

1. None
2. MP3
3. Soundtrack
4. WAV

This is one of the main reasons that motivated my open letter. I'm creating a soundtrack harmonizing solution now, it just relies on a pull request to Depot Downloader that hasn't been approved yet.

That is one insanely long Friday, too bad I have office hours on Fridays.
