My wife is simply brilliant.

I finally found a variety that didn’t require a battle against powdery mildew and bud rot (yet). Gonna rain next couple of days and I am thinking maybe today is harvest day. Thoughts?

Those are sick looking - I just always imagine telemark skis being wood grained for some reason. :D

I was in the market for an East Coast snow day ski and J put out a Joy of Skiing issue this year... I think I can run these as daily drivers for the trip out West as well.

I’m a child. I just laughed to near tears at this Reddit exchange while waiting for my flight at SEATAC.
The image shows a Reddit comment on a video posted that shows a bunch of women fighting at an airport baggage claim. The first reply says the world is crazy and that they just saw a post about a woman showing her boobs during a road fight. There is one reply to that comment saying “where’s that at”.

Once upon a time corporate marketing gurus decided the best way to handle trash everywhere is to dress up an Italian guy like a First American and have him cry about it in a TV ad to make regular folks feel like shit, instead of corporations using biodegradable and recyclable containers.

I used Copilot to help me plan a section of my flower meadow. I hope that doesn't make me a villain. It started with me asking it which ones to plant in the Fall versus the Spring.
A table that lists several flowers with their heights, bloom period, and where to place them in a garden relative to one another based on height and bloom period as decided by M365 Copilot (using the GPT-4 LLM). Here's a little 18th century style racism from one of the better regarded "founding fathers." At least the last sentence suggests some self-awareness, which was undoubtedly rare for the time.

One possible conclusion to our current national nightmare might be a golden crown for the would-be-king who really really loves gold.
In the Game of Thrones universe, a golden crown is prominently featured in the death of Viserys Targaryen, who is killed by Khal Drogo by having molten gold poured over his head. This act is a gruesome fulfillment of Drogo's promise to give Viserys the "golden crown" he craved.

This “photoperiod” plant I am/was intending to turn into a mother plant started flowering under 16 hours of light. Hrm. I guess I’ll still take clones. Worst case scenario I throw them on a table and do a sea of green grown I guess.

The bees - especially bumbles it seems - really really love this patch of Partridge Peas I have in my flower meadow.

These Robin’s Plantain (I think) and yellow hawkweed patches popped up in the middle of the small part of the yard we still mow regularly. Now we mow less of it.
