So they just redid what used to be the marquee city park and it’s really nice now but also has more fences than your average prison farm and a clear bag policy - anyway what are they gonna close first and why is it gonna be this super fun armbreaker astroturf slide? Pictured on the left.
A nice new playground with climbing stuff and all - to the left is a pretty steep green Astroturf slide that everybody immediately realized is more fun if you bring a cardboard box to slide on.

A Facebook ad for Williams Sonoma wherein the featured item is probably technically some sort of double sided meat tenderizer but it sure as hell looks like a butt plug with spikes aimed at your most sensitive bits and bobs. At least it does have a nice safe flared base. You can also buy expensive mugs?

The artist’s name is Edward Zimmerman Wimberly and I have no idea who that is.

Okay when my CITIZEN SCIENCE WEATHER PROGRAM picks up on a joke…
Those adultery dumb fucks on the kiss cam at the Coldplay show but their faces have been replaced with the logo for CoCoRaHS, which is a thing where you put out a very specific kind of analog rain gauge and report your rainfall daily, and a fancy weather station which isn’t as accurate and is not allowed for measuring your daily gauge catch but is way easier and has an app on your phone. I would NEVER.

This sign is new at my local national park. Honestly it probably sounds harmless to a lot of people (it’s a swamp, how is it political?) but is it now forbidden for the park to discuss enslaved people’s escapes to the swamp? Is that saying something “negative” about enslavers?

My son asked me to post a picture of him at today’s protest because he wants people to see that kids are upset and engaged. We went out and did some democracy; he made his own sign. Maybe 500ish people in Columbia, SC? We are not afraid.

Guess who got a late birthday present?!

New decor in my son’s public elementary school. My husband took a picture of it and somebody immediately appeared with a walkie talkie asking if he “needed help” - he was informed that it’s a “statewide directive”.
