Three years ago I was lucky enough to go on a swamp walk in the Fakahatchee Strand of the Everglades in southwest Florida where we saw these amazing orchids blooming in their native habitat.

It’s not a Florida native orchid, but it and many others are growing on the tree.

I don’t think indigenous cultures used potter’s wheels until after they were introduced by Europeans, so this piece may be old, but not pre-Colombian.
