Sure Easter has a lot more pomp and ceremony going for it and incredible candle situations, but the lack of iconic carols/hymns hurt.

I understand you've already planned out Past Lives, but surely what is more Past Lives than the story of long suffering commander herding his cats I mean drunk and disorderly soldiers away from demise. Sources be damned.

Out of all of your short stories, the simplicity of this one, and it's ending make it my favourite. The flair of your background experience makes a new take on classic idea.
As you say the simple 'what if its just a bit different' that underpins so much classic sci-fi is really explored well here.

My wife has LC with POTS. Everyone's comments below are good but I'll add one for what can cause flare ups for her:
Air pressure changes. If a big storm front comes through with a large pressure change she'll feel it hit like a ton of bricks. If it's a big consistent storm or rain it will last.

Its hard work to keep your hobby projects going not knowing if anyone reads or not, funnelling cash year on year into the ether.

I watch sneakily upstairs at Blu Jazz in bali Lane some rehearsals which was actually fun. Then downstairs for the actual funk session. A nice birthday treat.
