Now retired. I have worked in electronics, computer simulations and IT in general. I have an interested in science and history. My political views have been described as "progressive centrism".

(In my profile pic, I'm the one with blond hair).
What I can't help wondering is, who is this mysterious "Jewish lobby group"? I don't care they they are Jewish and I don't care that they are lobbying.

What I do care about is that fact that they can have so much influence without us being aware if it.

Maybe ABC should make all lobbying public.

Another tip: ask for a dry towel while they are removing the electrodes, to cover your eyes. I had some of the liquid they use to dissolve the glue trickle into my right eye and it really stung.

A little tip if you are getting this done: shave your head and chest before going in. I don't have much hair left and the hair I do have is pretty short. It still hurt getting the electrodes removed. It was like putting duct tape on your head then ripping it off.

Actually it might be more accurate to say we are all neuter at conception, since none of us produce reproductive cells at conception.

So, by the look of it, you took the photo around moonrise from near the equator. Either that or you rotated the photo (to avoid any hemisphereism perhaps?).

The thing that often surprises visitors is that most homes here have (electric) dryers, but we hardly ever use them. Unfortunately the original company let their patent lapse, so now anyone can call their product a "Hills Hoist". This one, in our backyard, is what we think of as a real Hills Hoist.

Pretty much every Australian backyard has one.

I'm more interested in what sort of clothesline it is. Is it a Hills Hoist?

These astronomical pics are all very nice, but, unless you took them yourself (which I doubt) it would be polite (not to mention appropriate) to credit the source.
