I have spent 4 days in hospital having my brainwaves monitored due mild epilepsy. The results were as good as I could have hoped for.
I was there, pretty much, at my request. There were others who had to be there. Their problems made my issues seem rather insignificant.

According to Donald Trump's definition, we are all female. At conception, we are all effectively females. For us males, it is not until approximately 40 days after conception that the SRY gene activates and we start producing traits that would be described as male.

The thing that often surprises visitors is that most homes here have (electric) dryers, but we hardly ever use them. Unfortunately the original company let their patent lapse, so now anyone can call their product a "Hills Hoist". This one, in our backyard, is what we think of as a real Hills Hoist.

It's sad to see Paul Barry retire as the host of Media Watch (on ABC Australia). It's rare to see a program like this that, at times, makes scathing reviews of even its own broadcaster. It's also hard to imagine any commercial media enterprise tolerating a show like this.

We came across this driving along the Oodnadatta Track in September 2019. It has to be one of the oddest things I've ever seen. It's an installation called #PlaneHenge and is in the middle of nowhere (about 50 km west of Marree in South Australia).
