Nicely worded! Btw, "slowly evolved and doesn't-try-to-be-perfect" dashboards are always 100x better than "highly-specced-and-idealistic" dashboards. And they require 100x less dev time, too... As you know...

What's the conclusion to this story? 🤣 😭

Yes, this drives me crazy! I also find that almost all SaaS companies interface with you via CS, and CS departments reject customer feedback like your informed opinion is worthless. I recently had a thousand word bug report rejected and was told my bug was how it was supposed to work.

As the comments say, "Start with consistency, then work on intensity." I often want to do things perfectly from the get go. But as somebody else commented: "Some days you got to just do it even if it is half hearted. Stop waiting for perfection to happen. Consistency and regularity is the key."

Same. Also, I wanted a simple chronological feed, not yet another FYP algorithm.

The bad news is that bad form on these hip-hinge exercises is what causes a disc bulge. And I kept on finding new ways of screwing them up. I was also rucking twice a week with 30 pound weights for 90 minutes, which exacerbated my recent injury. So I've been taking a vacation from rucking.

The back story is that over the summer, I hired a PT to fix my back. He's been great, but he's been focused on my other back injury. The good news is that he's been teaching me how to "hinge my hips" during exercises like squats and deadlifts. (I've been rounding my back my whole life.)

When I tried doing that sphinx pose myself, my disc bulge pain went up 10x, which was actually great because that means the sphinx pose is a great diagnostic tool for me. I've been doing this pose every morning to track the healing progress of my disc bulge. The pain is down a lot, which is great.

Jon, you say it's a "person," but my own "counter checks" say otherwise. 😂

Weird, my following feed is in chronological order. Maybe I'm missing something, but I hope not because I definitely prefer chronological order!

There is no algorithm for the "following" feed on Bluesky beyond "chronological order." The algorithm that @iain.bsky.social is referring to is for the "discovery" feed on Bluesky, which is analogous to the only feed on Threads or the "for you page" on Tiktok, all of which are designed to addict.
