We need to nationalise our water infrastructure immediately and spend money preventing things like this, rather than lining the money of shareholders. Our system is so ridiculously backwards.

So frustrating watching farmers waste their time, money and energy cutting hedgerows back to within an inch of their life. No gain for the farmer, looks ridiculous and is incredibly damaging for wildlife. Madness.
