Of course! Florida educators, and students, have had tough challenges. Here in Arizona, we have been very grateful to have Governor Hobbs vetoing legislation that would harm students and teachers.

That is basically my opinion of The Last of Us Part II. I did play most of the game on "Grounded" difficulty. Before I wrote this, I did read online posts/opinions about it so those may have influenced my opinion. Overall, the game had great elements to it; but it left me wanting more out of it.

However, in this game, it became really annoying because things were being hyped up and tense throughout, only for those things to suddenly end. Also, it was overused and became annoying when I would spend all this time on something, only for it to end suddenly.

One thing that has really annoyed me in this series, even in the first game, is the writers' love of sudden, twist changes in a story. It can be used effectively, especially to showcase the brutal world of the series.

I have mixed feelings on the ending. While it does showcase the costs of the actions throughout; the game being so long resulted in me wanting a more concrete end to the story.

Story wise, there are great moments; and Abby's section is well done. But Ellie's section really needed more time with the other characters. I know this is Ellie's journey; but the other characters do not contribute much overall (when compared to Abby's section). Potential SPOILERS in the next post

The gameplay really needed more variety. The combat and stealth are well done; but the game plays the same (you are exploring, doing puzzles, in combat, or in stealth). For a game as long as it is, more variety in what the player is doing would be great. Games still need to be "fun" to play.

Graphically, the game looks great. You really get a sense of the tough environment in which the game is set and what the characters are going through. However, the game is really long, definitely one of the longest games I've ever played (you get your money's worth out of this game).

The game is very brutal; definitely one of the most brutal games I've ever played. And the combat itself was done very well. The story was really interesting (to the point where I spent many hours playing the game to see what happens next).

I used to absolutely love Steak N’Shake (@historicalmarker.bsky.social
can attest to that). However, I will not be eating there. If you want good steakburgers, go to Freddy’s, which, I will add, is from a much more Republican state (Kansas) than Steak N’Shake (Illinois).

The Horizon video game series is one of my favorite video game series (I completed the main story of Horizon Forbidden West last week). The game series is incredible in many ways; one of which is its diversity. Quite of number of characters (including Aloy) are LGBTQ+.

I wore my Tucson Education Association shirt today. I’m not the only one.
