I adopted Odin just 2 months after graduating high school. He got me through my first job and my first apartment. He got me through living by myself at 19. He got me through the pandemic and a painful breakup. He got me through my campaign and 4 year term on the school board.

Odin passed away earlier today.

I sat by him the whole time and we were surrounded by our entire family.

I’m completely crushed. He meant everything to me and I am in no way ready for life without him.

Tuesday marked my final meeting as a member of the AJUSD Governing Board. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the students, staff, parents, and community members who supported me over the past four years.

I am incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished together.
