Basically, I’m pretty boring. I’m married, with two grown daughters, a terrific husband, was born in Pennsylvania. I love all things books, fiber crafts, Doctor Who, and kind people.
John, you're 'styling and profiling' for a good cause. Well done (the color suits you)!

Don't ever let anyone put you down, my friend. Being a Mother takes courage, strength, and compassion. When I became a Mother myself, I was petrified. We didn't have a lot of money, the world was not in a really great place, and we had NO help. But my daughters are the best and I have no regrets.

It'll be interesting to see how Clarence Thomas (who is in an interracial marriage) and Amy Bony-Carrot (who is female) rule on those issues which affect them directly.

I agree it is disheartening he received the votes he did. But, despite his lies about it, his win was NOT a landslide! What hurt were those who didn't vote because neither candidate was PERFECT. Guess what? They often aren't. Sometimes you have to choose the lesser of two evils. Not voting was wrong.

Thank you, Barbara, for the beautiful bird pictures. They're helping to calm me from all the chaos. I truly appreciate it.

I used to love going to DC. Since DJT became Pres, we don't go anymore. It's not the residents or even the homeless people which make me feel unsafe; it's the MAGA hat wearers, the masked ICE agents, and the armed National Guardsmen. It's truly breaking my heart and I feel helpless. 🥺😢😡

We're getting ready to move and I panicked when I realized I packed all my yarn, needles, and projects! But, like a good little knitting squirrel, I found one last skein of sock yarn and a lonely, forgotten circular needle to save me.

We're getting ready to leave Baltimore (and Maryland) for good in a few days. I'll miss the sunsets over the city skyline. Please keep posting your pictures, Laura. Also, please don't forget to stop by Alonzo's every once in awhile.

I've read 'Kushiel's Dart' twice and cried both times! What an excellent novel!

A Pox on this man!

If it is ANY consolation at all (I'm looking for any GLIMMER of good fortune at this time) remember that Little Marco also ran for President! His stint as Secretary of State just goes to show he probably would have been a rotten Exec in Chief.

Not great, Bob. Not great!
