Basically, I’m pretty boring. I’m married, with two grown daughters, a terrific husband, was born in Pennsylvania. I love all things books, fiber crafts, Doctor Who, and kind people.
So, when you've lived in the same house for 11 years. Used the same bathroom... Sat in the same living room... You become attached. My husband and I are making a great leap of faith and moving back to the State we came from. Today is my last full day in this house. It's emotional.

So I just cancelled my Paramount+ subscription. The way CBS/Paramount treated Stephen Colbert and show such cowardice to the baby in the Oval room can only be responded to with us as Consumers responding in kind. This is my personal opinion. #cancelCBS #stephencolbert

I'm an American and just had my first cheese and pickle sandwich. My life has been changed. Thank you to our British friends across the pond for creating this.

This is an AMAZING book! It's dark comedy, macabre, and fascinating. Imagine Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, Rasputin, the Wicked Witch, the Werewolf, and Frankenstein all in one story! Make it a comedy. And make the narrator of the tale be Jack the Ripper's watchdog, Snuff! Fun!!!! #booksky

I made a batch of pickled eggs, just like my Grandma used to make. They were pickled with canned red beets, vinegar, and sugar to give them the lovely purple color.

Wow!!! My weekend is SET! I reserved a copy of Heinlein's first published novel: "Rocket Ship Galileo" from the Enoch Pratt Library. I had no idea their copy is a flipping first edition and in beautiful condition! #booksky #scifi #heinlein

And that's a wrap (no pun intended, it's a neck warmer). I just have to sew the ends together to finish the warmer. I don't know if I should block it before or after? Thoughts? This is probably the most detailed crochet project I ever worked on. Another project from the 'unfinished' pile. #crochet

My daughter is graduating from college today!! I’m so proud of her and happy. She’s worked hard for this. Performing a full time job during the day and studying for college at night isn’t easy. I did it and so did her sister. But I know many people who did the same thing. Congratulations!

I have to give a shout out to the designer of this cross stitch bookmark I just finished. She is in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her Etsy shop is PovitrulyaHandmade (she also has a website). The chart was easy to read, the colors were already sorted. This was just fun to work on. #xstitch #booksky #oz

I just finished the ‘Starless Sea’ and honestly don’t know how I feel about it. I think there was actually TOO much symbolism. There was so much it obscured the plot. Also, I feel it was unnecessarily ‘padded’ in word count. Just my opinion…

So a lot of people are fed up by the resident on Pennsylvania Avenue, I totally agree. But we need to start collectively protesting the Republican enablers in Congress who are not doing the jobs they were elected to do! They get paid a lot of money and are not trying to protect the American people.

I missing my Grandma a bit today. She and I used to love watching old classic movies on Saturday afternoons, after the chores were done. Tyrone Power was a great actor and I love a good pirate movie.

Anna and Lindsey. They both color their hair. Anna is jokingly trying to demonstrate a new move she learned in JiuJitsu. Kids!

When Spring Cleaning this year, I came across an old trunk in a forgotten closet. In that trunk I found a kit I purchased I believe in 1994. Never started it. So I just finished it, 31 years later. What else will I find during Spring cleaning?

So popular opinion stated that the Disney movie ‘John Carter of Mars’ was a terrible movie and a bomb at the box office. I FINALLY sat down and watched it today, for the first time. You know what? I really enjoyed it! It may not be everybody’s cup of tea,but it was a decent science fiction film.

So I guess the 3rd time (or is it the 4th?) is the charm. I’ve tried several times in the past to read this and wasn’t able to get into it. But I’m persevering and actually ENJOYING it! I would live to hear anyone else’s though. #booksky #sffbooks
