people need to internalize, very quickly, that federal research grants are a hypercompetitive contracting process not charity, and that what Uncle Sam gets in return for that money is American dominance in the future

The rule of law is all or nothing and must apply equally to everyone. If there's no rule of law for some people in America, then there's no rule of law for any of us.

NEW: Trump’s FEMA administrator just sent out an email ordering all employees to stop sending things to the media without prior authorization. It was immediately sent to me by a FEMA employee without prior authorization to share with you.

The rush to destroy things like USAID and other agencies before lawsuits can stop them is to make it moot. When our stupidly slow judicial system finally moves to stop them it will be far too late. If all 10,000 USAID employees are home and projects abandoned it’s done. It’s evil.
