Game 18: Sheffield United 2-1 Durham, Bramall Lane, WSL2. Excellent team performance by the Blades who largely dominated the game. Mollie Rouse and Ella Kinzett outstanding in midfield but every outfield player was right on it today.

Game 16: Hallam 2-3 Stocksbridge Park Steels, Sandygate, Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup. Not a game high on entertainment despite the five goals. Stocksbridge deserved winners, a late penalty for Hallam giving a flicker of interest but ultimately the team from the league above going through.

Game 13: Sheffield United 3-2 Ipswich Town, Bramall Lane, WSL2. A long-awaited and fully-deserved home win for the Blades, who rather let Ipswich off the hook after racing into a 3-0 lead. Amy Andrews with a masterful performance in attack, scoring twice.

Game 11: Sheffield United 1-2 Birmingham City, Bramall Lane, WSL2. Really enjoyed that one. United competed hard against probably the best team in the league, scored a lovely goal and should be encouraged by the performance. Big flag was a big hit for the young un.

A really, really good effort by United Women today against a team that will almost certainly be in the WSL next season. Ran hard, tackled hard and had a threat on the counter. Brilliant equaliser by Joy Ralph before a keeping error handed Birmingham a late winner.
