On the topic of birds, we had twenty doves roosting in one of the trees, and along the roof of the house behind our place. This is a view of just a handful of them outside our window. Usually there are only two or three, but yesterday twenty gathered to warm themselves in the morning sun.

I hear @vicmmic.bsky.social likes birds, so here are a few window shots I took in the past couple weeks.

I'm sorry, these were the Golden Joystick nominations for visual design? What is this bizarro world that we are currently in?

I played a record low number of games this year, and even I can find more interesting games to nominate than most of this selection.

Looks like John Walker at Kotaku said exactly what I was thinking:

Enjoyed this Endlessmode piece on Sliksong where Gonzalez connects the game's difficulty to themes that he teases from the text.

I completely appreciate the logistic pain that having to move a launch entails, but this rhetoric lacks critical nuance.

It's remarkable that in essentially the same moment that Kotaku rolled out its new CMS and improved layout, Valnet shoehorned their awful platform elements into Polygon and called it a redesign. The best part? They are asking people to subscribe, meanwhile their account management is in shambles.

Moms.com does look like quality stuff, no? 🤣

I’m guessing this is Valnet’s way to deliver people to new content in their network.

Polygon is clearly in good hands as evidenced by this email they just circulated 🤣

You have to respect critics for doing the thing they do and putting themselves out there when thoughtful critique is met with comments like these:
