Some Flyers news: I've heard that Brad Shaw -- who served as Flyers assistant and interim head coach -- will NOT be returning to the Flyers bench as assistant coach under Rick Tocchet.

Can confirm that the Flyers are closing in on a deal to hire Rick Tocchet as their next head coach. There are still some steps left before it's finalized. But they're well down the road and it's going to happen.
