On thin ice - Redshank struggling with the icy conditions, and I can attest that my feet were also having some fun in places.

Grey White Egret coming into Vane Farm RSPB Reserve / Loch Leven, Kinross, Fife

Quite please with this shot, although it was a long way out and even at 600mm I had to do some serious cropping.

Incoming Teal at Vane Farm RSPB / Loch Leven, Kinloss, Fife

First trip out with my new Sigma 150-600mm lens, could have done with a slightly faster shutter speed to get more ducks in sharp focus but quite pleased with the motion effect at the same time

So the question is...what are all the cows looking at?

We have a ban on pavement parking, but it doesn't stop them

@cyclinguk.bsky.social have a cut and paste email response. They're also so busy they aren't even bothering to put individual members names in it

'Biological sex at birth' is not the same as 'biological women'.
Limiting to 'biological women' would include trans women. 🤔

I may have bought this yesterday afternoon...🤭

Bye bye. I am annoyed they didn't offer me the option to delete it and it's content though. That's not really acceptable

Please can someone tell me how this is more recognisable than Carole@Sustrans would have been? The whole argument for changing the perfectly good, familiar to almost everyone, actually accurate name was that it didn't reflect what they did blah blah blah. Well, tell me how this is possibly better...

I just about remember "invalid carriages" that I think he's on about, but I would have been v. young (55 now). I do remember they were all a particular shade of blue, and I remember this because when I bought my Fiat Cinquecento I got £1k off because it was 'invalid carriage blue' (more turquoise)

😎 so sweet ; (as) new wheels, new brake callipers, new cables, new rotors
October 26, 2025 at 4:36 PM
I wouldn’t buy polymer coated brake cables again

Any slight snag on the way through and the polymer ends up hairy

Heres an electric one unfolded. I did briefly have a non electric one but I struggled with it. Not enough gears for me on hills and heavier than I’d like. Once you take the battery off the electric theres not much difference in weight with the non electric due to the Alfine 8 speed hub

I went out on my analogue Diverge! It was big or long but it was my first ride on a non-e-assisted bicycle since my operation three years ago.

I have to declare that the bike is amazeballs. Finally found a road bike that fits me and I felt so confident and connected. But the tekro brakes are 💩

Improved storage option for the Diverge with a Hornet Clug. Now I can open the wall cupboards again!

Talking of car bloat…

It’s worth remembering this is the limit in weight, which includes passengers and luggage btw, for UK license holder who qualified in or after 1997

Some UK drivers may already be braking the law
