I’m old so this will sound old but a supermarket that is already overcharging me, replacing workers with self checkout and having a camera shoved in your face in case you steal anything and a gate that opens with your receipt. I dunno man I think we should smash it to pieces with hammers

I didn't know anything about Oesterheld or his works until this video, and now I wish I'd been able to read them when I was a kid alongside V for Vendetta, Watchmen & Mister X.
Netflix, a company that brought in $11 billion in the first quarter of this year alone, wants to "cut costs" by using AI in their shows.
Instead of watching their adaptation, learn more about the legacy of "El Eternauta" comic writer Héctor Germán Oesterheld:

Just received a support ticket update from ao3 about a problem I had (and notified them about) in February.

162 days to get around to telling me the clear my cache and browser history. 🙄

The 2 idiots who cut down the Sycamore Gap tree *for no apparent reason* got jail time. I am pleasantly surprised by this.

I forgot about Pantone after it was dropped by Adobe. But I would also legitimately forget about how much Adobe sucks if my bosses decided to switch to other design programs tomorrow. It would be like that guy you crushed on in school who treated you like shit, and now you can't remember his name.
Adobe has some nerve trying to monopolize the industry when they don't even have Pantone integration anymore

It's important to look after your emotional health.
If you feel the need to cover yourself in moss & wildflowers, shamble through the gloomy forest, and terrify some townspeople along the way, just go for it.
You deserve to be happy.

Jesus, THIS is already happening in my job 👇 It doesn't matter how loudly I shout about it, everyone is always surprised when the client wants something they should've never been offered to begin with.
Clients will also decide they like "placeholder" art and then your best case scenario is an artist remaking AI slop. It is better than no job ? but not a collaboration
"We used AI for placeholder art" increasingly feels like such a cop-out man. Placeholder art just needs to fill a space. It is meant to be loudly temporary. It should be so obviously Not Meant For Release that it can't be missed.
